On Wednesday 18th June, 2025, the last Pioneers Day of the Decarb Fast Track programme took place in Paris.

For the final Pioneers Day of the Decarb Fast Track programme, European industrial pioneers came together to share knowledge, look back at their progress, and celebrate achievements so far. This includes 61 sites in 8 countries embarking on the programme, over 300 decarbonisation projects, more than 62, 000 tonnes of CO2 saved, and over 15, 000 data points across all sites aggregated into the digital platforms.

The day was a testament to the community spirit of the pioneers taking part in the programme. The event was filled with rich discussions, insight sharing, collaboration, and actions to lay the foundations for continued impact.

The programme included a roundtable discussion to understand how the current global context is impacting the European industrial sector with Simon Ferriere (High Commission for Strategy and Planning) and Jean-Luc Proutat (Economist, BNP Paribas), a presentation on concrete solutions to decarbonise the industrial sector (Richard Huet (Industrial Process Decarbonization Project Manager, Dalkia), and a workshop led by Cedric Ringenbach (founder of the Climate Fresk) to investigate the risks and opportunities of the green transition.

A key moment of the event was the announcement of the Decarb Fast Track Institute, a new adventure for the community to live on. This initiative will build a larger and stronger community for industrials who want to decarbonise and overcome challenges facing the sector.
